New Count Shows Decrease in Homeless Population

The number of people found homeless in Western Wisconsin during the semi-annual count has fallen.

From January 22nd through the 29th, volunteers found 34 people without a home. The number is a big decrease from 104 last July. Everyone who participated gave basic information and a name to the volunteers. Sixteen people who did not provide enough information were not included. The count was run by community members representing over 28 organizations. The next count will take place July 23rd.
