Enjoy the jug band tunes from the Sliced Bread Jug Band, the mesmerizing moves of the Chippewa Valley Irish Dancers, and Jim Radloff’s toe-tapping ragtime selections. Don’t miss the Chippewa Valley Community Chorus, and you can create some music of your own with Bethany Shuda’s collection of harps.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. Check out the hands-on activities and demonstrations. Think wool pellet gardening (yes, really!), the delicate art of embroidery, the magic of wool spinning, and so much more! Everything from beadwork and scarf making to needle felting and weaving – you might just discover your new favorite hobby.
Want to explore the outdoors literally and figuratively? Learn about Dr. Kate Pelham Newcomb in Becky Adamski Krische’s book The Angel on Snow Shoes, and then try your hand at snow shoe lacing with Jim Schwiebert. Get your nature fix with the Beaver Creek Reserve naturalists, witness some kubb action, cozy up to table-top bonfires for s’mores, and view an axe-hanging demonstration.
Prepare to be amazed by sculptor Ray Kaselau’s presentation. Witness the artistry of the Chippewa Valley Woodturners and West Wisconsin Wood Carvers. Explore the miniature world of model railroading and the whimsical world of puppetry.
And because all that exploring can work up an appetite, indulge in some delicious treats. Sample some honey from Kaiserson Bee Co., grab a snack at the Ice Cream Parlor, or warm up with a hot sandwich from Jay Ray’s.
