A new option now lands at our local airport. Below is the press release from the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport:
Today begins a new chapter as United Express flights, operated by SkyWest Airlines, depart from the Chippewa Valley Regional Airport (EAU) for the first time since 2022. The new, nonstop daily service to Chicago O’Hare (ORD) will offer travelers worldwide connections on United’s network. To commemorate the occasion, officials are gathering at the airport for a ribbon cutting.
“Daily access to the national air transportation system via airline service to a major hub is vital to the economic development and quality of life for our residents and businesses in the region,” said Airport Director Charity Zich. “As critical as the need to serve local travelers, this service also allows the rest of the world to conveniently access our region.”
The new United Express flights include daily early morning departures to and late evening arrivals from Chicago O’Hare. Midafternoon flights to and from Chicago will also be available most days during the week. As the largest airline operating at the second busiest airport in the country, United offers one-stop access to almost anywhere in the world right from the Chippewa Valley.
