RCU FOUNDATION ANNOUNCES $400,000 GIFT TO UW- EAU CLAIRE FOUNDATION

The RCU Foundation made a $400,000 gift to the UW-Eau Claire Foundation to support the development of Simpson Field. This contribution will help fund the renovation of the field, which will now feature bleachers and a press box.

“This gift played a significant role in making Phase II of the Simpson Field project a reality,” said Julia Diggins, Vice President and Chief Development Officer of the UW-Eau Claire Foundation. “Now with bleachers and a press box, we are able to host more events on campus, enhancing the experience of all students at UW-Eau Claire.”

“The RCU Foundation recognizes that having spaces where people can come together to recreate and to make connections helps build a sense of community,” said John Sackett, RCU Foundation President. “We are honored to support this field renovation and expansion that will ensure that community members in Eau Claire and beyond will have a place to gather for generations to come.”

The upgrades to Simpson Field expand access to the facility for use by student athletes in a variety of sports and Simpson Field will host the men’s soccer NCAA Tournament regional for the first time on November 15-16.
