WI Set to Get Millions in Settlement

Wisconsin will get almost 22-million dollars in a settlement with Kroger for the grocery store’s role in the opioid crisis.

A coalition of thirty attorneys general, including Wisconsin A-G Josh Kaul, announced a one-point-four-billion dollar settlement yesterday.  Along with other settlements with distributors, manufacturers, and pharmacies related to the opioid crisis, Wisconsin is set to get more than 780-million dollars total.  Kroger has more than a hundred stores across Wisconsin.  The chain has also agreed to monitor and report suspicious activity related to opioid prescriptions as part of the settlement.
