Political Stage Heats Up: All Candidates Set to Visit WI

It’s going to be a very busy week of campaigning in Wisconsin this week.

The vice-presidential candidates are in town today. Democrat Tim Walz will campaign in Milwaukee and Manitowoc, while Republican JD Vance will make stops in Racine and Wausau. On Wednesday, it’ll be the main candidates.

Brett Favre will join former President Trump at a rally in Green Bay next week.

Doors are set to open Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Resch Center and Trump is scheduled to speak at 6 p.m., according to his campaign.  Favre spent 16 years with the Packers, leading Green Bay to a Super Bowl title in the 1996 season.  Trump will also return to Milwaukee on Friday for a rally at the Fiserv Forum, site of the Republican National Convention in August.  GOP running mate JD Vance is scheduled to make a stop in Racine on Monday.

On the other side of the ticket, Kamala Harris’s “Get Out the Vote” Concert and Rally will be held on the campus of UW-Madison on Wednesday.  The Democratic candidate will be joined by a number of music acts, including Gracie Abrams and Mumford and Sons.

As we get closer to Election Day, if you are getting some odd texts about your vote it’s likely spam.

The Wisconsin Elections Commission is warning about fake election texts. The Commission said people need to be very careful when they respond to any text about next month’s election. Commissioners say they’ve gotten copies of texts that tell voters there is a problem with their voter registration, or that their voter information may be wrong.

The Elections Commission says those texts are not necessarily scams, but they likely have incorrect information. The Commission says voters can always check their registration and/or voter information with their local clerk, or at the state’s My Vote system. CLICK HERE FOR MORE.
