Conservation Projects Get Financial Boost

Twelve nature conservation projects across Wisconsin are getting more than seven-million dollars in funding.

The Department of Natural Resources says grants are coming from the Knowles-Nelson Stewardship Program. Beloit will get more than three-quarters-of-a-million dollars to complete Riverwalk construction downtown, and Milwaukee gets more than 400-thousand for a paved walking loop at Metcalfe Playfield. Other projects include recreational boating facilities and park land development.
