State Superintendent Requests Mental Health Investment

The Wisconsin State Superintendent is asking for more than three-hundred-million dollars for mental health investment.

Dr. Jill Underly says she’ll ask for the funding in a 2025-2027 Biennial Budget request. She says the money will go toward the School-Based Mental Services Program, allocating at least 100-dollars per student if approved. Expansions to the Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse programs and additional trainings for school employees would also be funded.
