WI Political Rallies Continue, Former President Obama Set to Visit

Eau Claire’s latest campaign stop saw a couple of governors on campus.

Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer dropped by UW-Eau Claire yesterday to tally young voters. They talked about Kamala Harris and abortion. Eau Claire will play a role in deciding who wins Wisconsin next month.

On that note, political attention continues.

The Kamala Harris campaign is bringing the former president to Wisconsin. Former President Obama is set to campaign for Harris in Madison next week. He will appear at a rally with vice-presidential nominee Tim Walz to mark the start of in-person early voting in Wisconsin. The last Marquette Law School Poll has Kamala Harris up by four in Wisconsin, but many politicos say the race in the state is much closer than that.
