A speed violation leads to an OWI for a Minnesota man.
Nelson Humberto Espinoza Inamagua, 40 years of age, from Fridley, MN has been arrested by the Wisconsin State Patrol Eau Claire Post for operating a motor vehicle under the influence, 1st offense, with three children in the vehicle under the age of 16.
On Tuesday, September 3rd, 2024 at approximately 12:30 am a Wisconsin State Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle on I-94 westbound at mile marker 42 for a speed violation.
The Trooper observed signs of impairment and a subsequent investigation, including standardized field sobriety tests, showed the driver Nelson Espinoza-Inamagua from Fridley, MN was operating a motor vehicle while under the influence with minor passengers. Mr. Espinoza-Inamagua was arrested and transported to a local hospital for an evidentiary test of his blood. The children ages 17, 14, and 13 were released to their mother.
