Nearly one-in-four voters in Wisconsin cast a ballot in Tuesday’s election. The state’s Elections Commission yesterday said voter turnout was 26-percent. Voter numbers were higher in some communities, and lower in others. Election managers say the 26-percent number is the highest for a primary election in 60 years.
Continuing in the political realm, while the Democrats are at their convention in Chicago, Vice President Kamala Harris will be in Milwaukee.
Harris’ campaign yesterday said she and running mate Tim Walz will make a campaign stop at Fiserv Forum next Tuesday. That would be on the second day of the DNC. Harris is not the only candidate coming to town, however. Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance will be in Milwaukee on Friday to rally with Milwaukee’s police officer’s union.
