Nearly 50 people are out of a job after a plant closing in Rice Lake.
Besse Forest Products told the state of Wisconsin that 46 people were laid off in the move. Besse is a lumber company that says it offers premium hardwood and other lumber needs. The plant closed on August 1st, and everyone lost their job that same day. Besse said in its filing with the state that an industry downturn is to blame for the closing.
