There are now murder charges for the death of the man who was held down in front of Milwaukee’s downtown Hyatt back in June.
Milwaukee County’s D.A. filed murder charges yesterday against the four private security guards who held D’Vontaye Mitchell down on the ground. The medical examiner said he died from ‘restraint asphyxia,’ but also died from the ‘toxic effect’ of meth and cocaine. Mitchell’s death was caught on video. His family has been demanding charges for more than a month.
Prosecutors say each of the four guards will face a count of felony murder.
