Serving 80-100 people a day requires many hands to make a meal happen at the Community Table. In recent months, the organization has seen a tremendous decrease in volunteer and team sign up to serve a meal to Eau Claire community members. Commitment to volunteer is vital to providing the meal and the time to help is minimal.
Volunteer openings consist of your choice of meal prep, meal service, or washing dishes. Shifts are approximately two hours, with a variety of times available throughout the week. Executive Director, TJ Atkins states: “For many of the community members this is the only meal they may receive in a day. Thus, it becomes critical to maintain the service to help them in sustaining themselves.”
