A former Badger hockey star is now one of the faces of Team USA.
Wisconsin alum Alev Kelter helped America grab the bronze in women’s rugby yesterday. She helped grab the ball out of a scrum, and set up the last minute sprint that won the game against Australia. Kelter played both hockey and soccer at UW, and won a national championship in hockey back in 2011. Yesterday’s win was the first time Team USA won a medal in women’s rugby sevens.
