Vernon County Sheriff Roy Torgerson reports the Sheriff’s Office is attempting to locate Raymond Scott “Scotty” Regall, age 59, with a last known address of Fox Lake, WI.
Early Thursday afternoon, July 25, 2024, at approximately 2:00 PM, the Sheriff’s Office received a report that the man in the photo being released cashed a fraudulent check at a financial institution in the city of Westby, approximately two hours earlier. A second check was cashed at a financial institution in the village of Coon Valley at approximately 12:48 PM. Finally, the same person attempted to cash a third check at a financial institution in the village of Stoddard. By this time, it was learned the checks, presented as issued by a business in Tomah, WI were forgeries, and the third attempt was unsuccessful.
