UW-Eau Claire is one of just three UW schools that is not directly admitting high school students this month.
The university yesterday said tens of thousands of incoming high school seniors will get a letter next week telling them that they have been accepted to the university. Ten of the UW’s 13 campuses are taking part in the program, but Eau Claire is not. Neither is UW-Madison or UW-La Crosse. The university’s president says the idea is to boost enrollment throughout the UW System, and to open the idea of college to kids who may have never thought about it before.
