Investigators say the suspect in last week’s double murder in Abbotsford stabbed his two daughters nearly 20 times each.
Law enforcement in Abbotsford say they were called to a trailer home on July 5th to find a woman with stab wounds. She said her husband, Victor Manuel Gomez Acosta, was in another trailer nearby with their two daughters. Officers say they negotiated with Acosta for about half an hour before he surrendered, but they found both daughters deceased. Acosta also had stab wounds and was taken to a nearby hospital. He’s being held on a million dollar bail.
Prosecutors this week filed formal charges and if convicted, Gomez Acosta will spend the rest of his life in prison.
