UTV, ATV Safety Urged During Summer Fun

As the sounds of Summer often include AVT and UTV rides, official are urging safety on the trails and off. Seventeen people have died in ATV and UTV crashes so far this year in Wisconsin.

The state Department of Natural Resources says alcohol, a lack of safety gear, and non-use of seatbelts are common factors in the reported crashes. Wisconsin law requires all operators involved in a crash to report it within ten days — available data for this year is current as of June twelfth.
