One person is dead, and one person is in custody after a homicide in La Crosse County.
The sheriff’s office yesterday said it got a 911 call from the Town of Shelby. When they arrived, deputies found a woman who was dead. The sheriff’s office says deputies then arrested 39 year old Zachary Fritz in connection with her death. There is no word yet how the woman died, or what led-up to her killing. Investigators in La Crosse say they’re treating the case as a homicide and Fritz is being held in the La Crosse County jail. He is scheduled for an initial court appearance later today.
