Eau Claire will again host the chainsaws! August 2-4, 2024 you can watch ordinary logs become complex masterpieces in just three days. Competition and guest carvers from Brazil, Canada, Japan, Scotland, the United States, and Wales will be on the Chippewa Valley Museums grounds for the US Open in Carson Park. The competition pieces will be auctioned off Sunday afternoon. Daily auctions will also be held with artwork from our guest carvers. A beer garden will be on site, and a variety of food will be available throughout the event. Proceeds from the US Open will go to continued programming at Chippewa Valley Museums.

Competition Carvers include Sam Bowsher (Scotland), Dawna Ceriani (Pennsylvania), Takao Hayashi (Japan), Nathan Howard (Pennsylvania), Chris Kuehn (Minnesota), Jake Rhodes (Canada), Kyle Thomas (Michigan), Jesse Toso (Canada), Ryan Villiers (Canada), and Chris Wood (Wales).
