Wisconsin’s attorney general, along with 23 other state attorneys general, are supporting proposed rules that would support pregnant and post-partum workers.
The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission proposed the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act. The motion would require accommodations for conditions related to pregnancy, including the termination of a pregnancy. A-G Josh Kaul says he doesn’t think workers should have to choose between their health and their job. The set of rules was opposed by a group of states led by Tennessee a couple years ago, due to accommodations for abortion.
