A new factory will bring jobs to about 200 people in Portage.
The Wisconsin Battery Company started construction at a groundbreaking ceremony yesterday. The company says the plant will start with 75 openings when the plant opens next year but will hire dozens more each quarter until it gets to full staffing capacity. WBC says it focuses on technologies that replace typical battery chemicals with more sustainable options.
