A plan for the state’s share of opioid settlement funds has been turned in to the Wisconsin Legislature.
The State Department of Health Services will distribute 36-million dollars for preventing opioid addiction. It’s requesting that five-million dollars go to after-school prevention programming and six-million be given to Tribal Nations. Four-point-five-million would go to Narcan and fentanyl test strips. Wisconsin will continue to get settlement funds annually.
