The Chippewa Falls YMCA, in association with the Chippewa Health Improvement Partnership (CHIP), will be hosting a Farmers Market at the Chippewa Falls YMCA this summer and are seeking vendors to sell local goods.
“We are excited to partner, once again, with the YMCA in offering the Farmers Market in Chippewa Falls,” said Sandy Tarter, Extension FoodWIse Coordinator and CHIP-Chronic Disease Prevention Action Team Co-Chair. “This will provide another opportunity for residents to purchase fresh, local food along with supporting our area farmers.”
2024 will be the second summer season this Farmers Market will be available in Chippewa Falls. There are numerous vendor spots available. This is a “producers only” market, meaning that all products sold must be grown, made, or otherwise produced by local vendors. The Farmers Market will accept all forms of credit/debit cards, including EBT Quest Cards. Swipe your card at our YMCA tent to receive wooden tokens to use at the market. Thanks to the generous donations of local businesses, those who have Quest cards are eligible for our Market Match program where the first $10 spent is matched for an additional $10 in tokens.
“We are delighted that CHIP is once again supporting the Chippewa Falls YMCA as the location for this Community Farmers Market,” added Carrie Mathwig, Executive Director of the Chippewa Falls YMCA and CHIP-Chronic Disease Prevention Action Team Co-Chair. “We look forward to continuing our partnership with Chippewa Health Improvement Partnership this summer. It is exciting to be part of this opportunity to bring fresh, local food to the residents of Chippewa Falls. Make sure to stop by.”
