A man accused of a hit-and-run that killed a bicyclist in Madison is formally charged with a felony.
William Del Pozo of Sun Prairie is accused in the death of Joseph Solomon. Madison Police say they were travelling in opposite directions in the daytime when Del Pozo turned left in his work van and hit the biker. A former EMT that was driving behind the van says they saw the crash, and Del Pozo slowed down briefly before speeding off. Officers say he was on his way to work to clock out. Solomon died on the scene blocks away, despite the witness’s attempts to save his life.
