A bipartisan bill aimed at helping curb violence against black women and girls will not receive a vote.
Democratic Representative Sheila Staubs authored the bill that then passed unanimously through two subcommittees but was not scheduled to be voted on in the GOP led senate. The bill that received support from the Madison Police Chief and other advocates will now have to wait another year.
