Nursing Positions Remain Empty

Healthcare workforce vacancies haven’t recovered since COVID in Wisconsin.

The Wisconsin Hospital Association says ten percent of nursing positions are empty – about the same as four years ago when the pandemic began. WHA says the gap in filled positions could be solved with more flexible training programs and recruitment efforts aimed toward multiple generations.
