UW campuses are going to keep more tuition dollars from Minnesota students going forward. Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers yesterday signed a new law that tweaks the reciprocity agreement between Wisconsin and Minnesota.
The deal allows Minnesota kids to pay Minnesota tuition prices, but go to a UW school. Any extra money from those Minnesota students used to go to the state. Now, that money will stay with the UW campus where those Minnesota students are. UW-River Falls’ chancellor says that could be worth about four million-dollars to her campus alone.
