Eau Claire and Trempealeau Counties are under a snow emergency. Both counties called the state of emergency late yesterday afternoon after certain cities got over a foot of snow over the weekend. More snow will hold off today but temperatures aren’t expected to get out of the single digits and wind chills could reach as low as negative 30.
There’s at least one more chance for accumulating snow in west central Wisconsin this week. According to the National Weather Service another round of snowfall is expected to move through the Eau Claire area just after noon tomorrow and drop up to two inches by Wednesday morning. There’s also a chance for flurries Thursday, Friday, and Saturday but there’s not expected to be accumulation.
