Someone is cutting down road signs in Brown County.
The sheriff’s office yesterday said there have been a ‘large number’ of signs cut down over the past few weeks. Most of the signs were cut down in the southern part of the county. Deputies say it looks like someone is using a saw to cut the wooden signposts in half. One of the signs that was cut is a stop sign. Captain Jody Lemmens says that’s particularly dangerous because a missing stop sign could very easily lead to a crash. So far there haven’t been any crashes.
The sheriff’s office is asking the public for help in finding the suspects.
