A proposal at the state capitol would ban anyone 75-years-old or older from becoming a state judge or state supreme court justice.
Senate Bill 569 would apply both to judges running for election as well as judicial appointments. A companion bill already passed in the Wisconsin State Assembly. The law would not affect federal judges.
