Two buildings in southwest Wisconsin are being added to the State Register of Historic Places.
The Daniel and Catherine Welty Barn in Wiota is being recognized for the unique German architecture style used to build it in 1850. The Spring Green Restaurant in Wyoming is also being added to the register. Famed architect Frank Lloyd Wright designed the restaurant in the late 1950’s to serve visitors to his Taliesin studio and property. The structure no longer houses an eatery but it is home to the Taliesin visitor’s center.
