Edgerton’s fire department is among the first in the state to plan for a baby box.
The city announced this week that it plans to install the box, where parents can drop off newborns, no questions asked. Governor Evers signed a law last week that allows for baby boxes across the state. The box will go-in at Edgerton’s fire department because the building is manned 24/7, 365 days a year.
