Independence day is OPEN, but just a heads up that Half Moon Lake is closed.
Even though it’s the Fourth of July, the Eau Claire City-County Health Department closed the beach due to unsafe bacteria. Those wishing to celebrate outdoors can still do so at the other Eau Claire County beaches, which are open. Half Moon Lake is expected to be closed until at least Friday.
