The University of Wisconsin has started installing a heated field at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison.
The upgrade will cost five-point-five million dollars and allow games to run safely during snowy or icy conditions starting in the 2024 season. The school says the investment will also save them money over time, since snow removal from the field can cost up to 100-thousand dollars. Crews began tearing up turf to start the installation process yesterday. >>Meeting Will Decide How Altoona Dam Repairs Will Be Funded
