There is a twist in Wisconsin’s eye drop murder case. Jessy Kurczewski’s lawyer has asked to be released from the case before she is sentenced after investigators found a 37-page letter they say was a plot to plant a fake deathbed confession.
Fox6 reported last night that Kurczewski wrote a friend from jail, asking that friend to pretend to be her dead friend, and admit that Kurczewski had nothing to do with her death. The letter lays-out the steps, including a warning to wear gloves. The letter apparently was written on notes that Kurczewski took during her trial. Kurczewski is supposed to be sentenced on Thursday.
She’s facing a mandatory life sentence.
