Wisconsin will be giving more than two-million dollars in grant money to veteran’s mental health services.
Governor Tony Evers and the Wisconsin Department of Veterans Affairs Secretary say they’re now accepting applicants for three grants. The grants will go toward funding emergency treatment programs, as well as programs like dance, acupuncture, and equestrian therapies. Funding is also available for centers with family and marriage counseling and social workers. The DVA gave out nearly 650-thousand to 16 Wisconsin nonprofits in the first round of grants.
