The postal service in Eau Claire is asking residents to make sure they have their mailboxes clear of snow. Post office officials say there have been multiple postal workers who have gotten hurt this winter because of snow and ice covered sidewalks and walkways. The Eau Claire postmaster says it’s important to have at least six feet cleared in front of and behind mailboxes.
Meanwhile, what about that towing order?
Eau Claire police say the tow warning it issued is keeping most cars off the streets. Police say they’ve only towed three cars during the snow event so far. The snow event will remain in effect until five o’clock tomorrow afternoon. Any cars parked on the wrong side of the street and any cars with parking tickets for more than 24 hours will be towed.
