There are not yet enough votes for the Brewers’ ballpark in the State Senate.
Senators are set to vote tomorrow on the plan which would spend about 500 million-dollars in taxpayer money on American Family Field and keep the Brewers in Milwaukee til 2050. But there are not yet 17 ‘Yes’ votes. No one is saying just how many votes there, but Republican senators say it’s not enough. A number of Republicans don’t like the idea of having taxpayers pay for the ballpark, while many statehouse Democrats want to see a new ‘Beer District’ development included in the plan.
