The city of Eau Claire is asking for a little help ahead of this weekend’s heavy rains.
Eau Claire’s streets department is asking people to clear the storm drains near their homes to help avoid flooding. Street manager Aaron Nicholson says leaves can build up and clog those drains. Nicholson says the city plans to run street sweepers throughout the day today, but he is asking people to pick up anything else that may block the drains including extra leaves and grass clippings.
