Voters across Wisconsin could soon have a better idea as to just how much they will be paying for a new school or a new tax increase.

A State Senate panel today will hold a hearing on a plan that would require school districts to include information about the interest costs, and interest rates of any school referendum question. Currently schools have to tell voters just how much they’re asking for, but they don’t have to include the price of interest. Republican lawmakers say the idea is to make sure voters know just how much money they’re  being asked to spend.
