Wisconsin lawmakers are going to put human trafficking under the microscope this week.
The Speaker’s Task Force On Human Trafficking is scheduled to have its first meeting Wednesday. Both the state’s Department of Justice and state’s Department of Public Instruction are expected to testify, and talk about the human trafficking challenges that they see. Lawmakers hope to use the task force to see if there are any laws that Wisconsin needs to fight human trafficking in the state.
