The Badgers made it close but couldn’t come back from a big first-half deficit as they fell to Washington State, 31-22 Saturday in Pullman, Washington.
The Cougars raced out to a 24-9 lead at halftime. Wisconsin stormed back with 13 third-quarter points to make it a two-point game but that was a close as the Badgers could get. Washington State added another touchdown in the fourth quarter. The Badgers are now 1-and-1 and will host Georgia Southern at Camp Randall next Saturday.
