WI Sees Drought Conditions Expand

A mostly dry week across Wisconsin is causing an expansion of drought conditions.

This week’s U.S. Drought Monitor map shows more extreme drought in Southwest and South-Central Wisconsin. Areas of severe drought are also expanding into more of the middle of the state. This week’s map continues to show parts of Douglas in Bayfield counties–along the Lake Superior shore–with exceptional drought. Three percent of the state is drought-free–mostly in pockets in Eastern and Western Wisconsin.
