A fire causes about $10,000 in damages.
On Saturday August 26th the Eau Claire Fire Department responded to 3605 White Ave for a report of a fire alarm sounding. Upon the first unit arrival, crews found a working fire in the loading dock area of the building. A full structure fire response was immediately requested. The initial fire crew noted the fire sprinkler system has contained the fire the loading dock and the remaining fire was put out with a fire extinguisher and handlines.
Heavy smoke was found throughout the building and multiple crews worked to ventilate the structure. 3 Engines, 1 Ladder truck, 1 Ambulance and 2 Chiefs responded to the call. There were no reported injuries at the time of this report.
The fire department was assisted by the Eau Claire Police Department and the Communications Center.
