After searching the waters for a missing tuber, we now have an update.
At approximately 9:00pm, water operations on the Chippewa River concluded with the successful recovery of Justin Vue.
The operations consisted of systematic shoreline and water searches utilizing side scan sonar, thermal imaging cameras, drones, and numerous volunteers. Additionally, Bruce’s Legacy assisted by conducting searches of targeted areas utilizing their side scan sonar and underwater ROV. Agencies involved in the search operations include UW-Eau Claire Police Department, City of Eau Claire Police Department, Altoona Police Department, Eau Claire Fire Department, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Eau County Communication Center, Eau Claire County Medical Examiner, Bruce’s Legacy, and the K-9 Emergency Response Team (KERT).
