Health experts are urging Wisconsin residents to be aware of heat-related illness as temps head toward record highs this week.
Doctor Michael Halberg with SSM Health says construction workers and others who do physical labor outdoors are the most at-risk of overheating. Symptoms like fatigue, headache, and in more extreme cases, confusion and vision changes, are all signs that someone needs to cool down and may need immediate medical attention. Temperatures in the high 80’s and into the 90’s are possible across much of the state over the next couple of days.
