Broken down city buses and a water main break were among the damages caused by the extreme cold in Eau Claire yesterday.
If you were paging through Leader-Telegram, then you likely saw that the water main break was fixed after about ten hours and replacements were brought in for the broken down buses. According to the National Weather Service, the low temperature yesterday morning was negative 29 degrees. It got just as cold this morning with negative 29 degrees being reported around 5:30.
