Republican lawmakers at the Wisconsin Capitol are ready to vote on the plan to send more money to local governments, even though the plan may not be finished.
No one has shared the details of the shared revenue plan yet. Still, there is a vote scheduled for later this afternoon in Madison. Assembly Republicans want to send as much as 500 million-dollars to local governments across the state, which Governor Evers and Democratic lawmakers support. But Republicans are demanding spending limits and spending requirements as part of the deal. The governor has promised to veto any proposal that includes strings from Republicans.
